Summary: In Arizona there is a big problem with illegal immigration. There are a lot of problems that the immigrants are creating by coming to America for example, drug trafficcing, human trafficcing, there has been murders, stealing, they are taking jobs away from U.S. citizens and lots more. The U.S. government is not getting involved or helping the cause. As a result of this situation a lot of innocent U.S. citizens such as kids and families cannot even go into their backyard without precaution because its not safe, therefore the Arizona legislature is taking things into their own hands by creating a law that makes police officers stop people they have reason to believe are illegal immigrants. Also the new law says if a citizen thinks the police officers are not doing their job right they can sue the officer.
Proposition: I disagree with the new Arizona Law. This is a very controversial issue because the citizens living in Arizona are at risk but I think the law is too harsh and they could have thought about another more beneficial solution for everyone.
I agree with the law because I feel that this is our nation and the issue is of a national security issue, and the safety of our fellow Americans mean more than those of an illegal immigrant.

ReplyDeleteI agree with your proposition; how the state's dealing with the immigrants isn't exactly the best way. Racial profiling is a problem and it usually turns to racism; a bigger problem. However, really, immigrants should work to become US citizens.
Hi Kiyo,
ReplyDelete*chuckle* same comment as on Kai's blog ;>
The issue is debatable but the proposition is wrong...it is a single sentence position statement.
Also, "Beast" needs to include name in post.
